The EU General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR – is applicable law in Norway from 20 July 2018. The regulation is incorporated in the Norwegian Personal Data Act by a reference clause. The rules are given in a regulation, which means it has direct applicability in all EU member states without further implementation.
